Associate Global Sourcing Manager - Military Veterans

BASIC PURPOSE: The Associate Global Sourcing Manager will support the Global Sourcing Manager with the global sourcing teams’ initiatives. This includes product development, process creation and implementation, overseas supplier relations, and internal collaboration. This position will be responsible for fulfilling day to day processes as well as supporting merchandising initiatives and driving gross profit dollars by executing private label programs. Based in OKC, not a remote position.
MAJOR ROLES:
Product Development/Sourcing
- Learn to identify products that have potential to be directly sourced by Love’s
- Learn and develop specifications for products
- Understand and help develop product assortments, roadmap, competitive matrix, and pricing structure
Overseas Supplier Communication
- Communicate with overseas partners about current and new products
- Discuss lead times, cost negotiation, and product creation
- Help hold suppliers accountable to timelines; including product ready dates and documentation needed for on-time shipping
Internal Collaboration
- Work with the merchandising team to develop private label strategies inside of the current product assortments
- Support global sourcing team on new marketing initiatives (packaging, branding, signage, etc.)
- Opportunities to present new products and roadmaps to internal teams
Item Creation and Integrity
- Assist in item creation, including product information, pricing, specifications, etc. into Love’s systems
- Confirm and verify information coming in from overseas partners
- Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Product Development preferred
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Skills:
- Hard skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, product management or product lifecycle management software would be a plus
- Soft skills: Stable work history, good oral and verbal communications skills, team player, keen attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong analytical skills
Typical Physical Demands:
- Scheduling flexibility.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
