Job Title: Senior Manager - Coordination - City Planning

Location: Neom, Saudi Arabia

About the Role

The Senior Manager - Coordination - City Planning will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of The Line's ambitious urban vision. This position will lead and manage the coordination efforts across all disciplines involved in the city planning process, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with the overall project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interdisciplinary Coordination:
    • Lead and manage the coordination of all city planning activities, including urban design, architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, transportation, and infrastructure.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among various design teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
    • Identify and resolve design conflicts and issues proactively.
    • Ensure the integration of all design elements into a cohesive and holistic urban plan.
  • Design Review and Approval:
    • Oversee the design review process, ensuring that all design proposals meet the project's vision, standards, and requirements.
    • Provide expert guidance and feedback to design teams on design concepts and solutions.
    • Ensure the timely review and approval of all design deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community members, and external consultants.
    • Communicate project progress and address stakeholder concerns effectively.
    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and feedback sessions.
  • Project Management:
    • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
    • Implement mitigation strategies to address any challenges.
    • Ensure the timely delivery of all project milestones.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all design deliverables.
    • Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular design reviews.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Innovation and Best Practices:
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in urban planning and design.
    • Explore and implement innovative design solutions and technologies.
    • Contribute to the development of best practices for urban planning and design within Neom.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in urban planning, design, or project management.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of urban design principles, planning regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Experience in working on large-scale, complex urban development projects (preferred).
  • Experience in the Middle East (preferred).
