CDL Driver - Military Veterans

STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled CDL Driver for an equipment solutions company that has been in business since 1946. The company operates a fleet of over 2,500 terminal tractors and trailers in major U.S. ports, and manufactures terminal tractors and trailers. The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer rated at 80,000 lbs. to transport materials and equipment, following all applicable laws, maintaining logs, and ensuring the protection of all property entrusted to them. This role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and maintaining company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the tractor/trailer safely at all times.
  
  
• Maintain eligibility for work in compliance with DOT regulations, including random, routine, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
  
  
• Perform Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and maintain a driver log according to federal regulations.
  
  
• Load and unload equipment on the trailer, ensuring the load is properly secured.
  
  
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
  
  
• Comply with company policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Class A Driver’s License (without restrictions).
  
  
• TWIC Card and Medical Card.
  
  
• Hazmat certification is a plus.
  
  

Education and/or Experience

• Two years of flatbed truck driving experience with the ability to safely operate a commercial tractor at all times.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
