Role and Responsibilities
Summary:
Designs, develops, and evaluates complex, specialized technical training materials, assessments, and programs for various curricula, classroom, and interactive formats using a systematic instructional methodology.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Applies expert knowledge of educational principles, methods, and thinking to solve critical instructional design problems to evaluate and design learner-centered, performance-based training materials in multiple modalities, including classroom, interactive eLearning modules, videos, job aids, facilitator guides, and other instructional media to support the technical curriculum.
- Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and others across the organization to create accurate, measurable, outcome-based training curriculum with engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and the knowledge/skill transfer in the classroom and online delivery.
- Develops scalable solutions to ensure all training programs are consistent and ready for a global audience.
- Writes task-based assessments that measure learning objectives.
- Works collaboratively and effectively with others to promote innovative approaches and enhance productivity related to curriculum development.
- Learns complex technologies and tools rapidly to "hit the ground running" in developing technical training material.
- Acquires the latest industry best practices and apply those to the workplace.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Master’s Degree (preferred) and five (5) years working in an Instructional Systems Design role with responsibility for end-to-end development of instructional solutions for a technical audience.
- Demonstrated experience designing instructional solutions, collateral, eLearning and self-directed learning modules, performance support aids, online tutorials, and other training materials.
- Highly organized and able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment; a passionate learner and self-starter, comfortable owning projects and must have a ‘learner-focused’ mindset in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- Expertise in designing instructional solutions developed with Adobe Creative Cloud, e-Learning authorware such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Studio, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, and similar products.
- Experience designing training solutions for global audiences.
- Strong analytical, interviewing, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with a global team to execute multiple project schedules.
- Technical acumen with experience working in a high-tech engineering environment a plus.
- Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio of their instructional design work.

$68,000.00 - $93,500.00The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
