Structural Engineer
Bahrain

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performs engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

• Assist seniors in completing design work and production of drawings of complex and large size projects.

• Be able to develop and check structural schemes including comparisons of alternatives and prepare concept design reports;

• Be able to prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams;

• Be able to produce comprehesinve, accurate and professional structural calcualtions.

• Develop design details (manually and in CAD) for production of drawings.

• Willing to learn new tools such as BIM and model structures using these tools.

• Be able to independently & objectively check works produced by another design team member.

• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.

• Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members.

• Understand and demonstrate value of diversity. Resolve conflicts with minimum noise.

• Understand and respect the hierarchy in decision making; follow decisions and instructions given by Line Manager/ senior engineers.

• Reviews supplier shop drawings and submittals.

• Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

• Understand the importance of timeliness to internal and external clients. Achieve reliability and credibility in regard to meeting deadlines. Be punctual.

• Maximize billable time commensurate with responsibilities.

• Always keep commitments, particularly time and cost commitments. Acceptance of personal responsibilities.

• Coordinate the work of the project team with other engineering disciplines through liaison with other professionals. 

• Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with minimum of 12 years of related work experience.  

• Experience in roads, bridges and infra project is required. Preferably Bahrain experience or GCC experience.

• Good project management skills and business acumen.

• Well versed in structural analysis software such as MIDAS / SAP2000 / CSI Bridge / STAAD.
