Overview

Lutron has an immediate opening for a dedicated and knowledgeable Inside System Sales Engineer to support our window treatment business at Lutron's Global Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. You will play a crucial role in explaining the importance of shade fabrics and automation for productivity and comfort, while also supporting sales and project management teams. You will educate and support the channel partners on Lutron's automated window treatment solutions and our world-class customer support services.



Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop deep expertise in Lutron shading solutions includuing comprehensive knowledge of glare, solar radiation, sun positioning, and fabric properties.
  • Value Proposition: Successfully articulate the value of Lutron solutions, including products, systems, and integrated capabilities.
  • Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews of shade application requests by analyzing architectural plans and collaborate with engineering to propose customized solutions that meet job requirements.
  • Application Drawings: Create professional application detail drawings using 2D and 3D software.
  • Technical Support: Respond promptly to technical product questions from the field.
  • Sales and Product Support: Assist sales and project management teams in meetings with architects, shade dealers, and general contractors.
  • Training: Develop and deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions for Lutron employees, channel partners, and direct customers.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about technology trends, building standards, codes, and evolving customer expectations.


Qualifications



  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering, Architecture, or similar degree
  • 5+ years professional experience that includes proven ability to read and understand architectural construction drawings
  • Experience with 2D and 3D software packages required (autoCAD, SolidWorks, etc)
  • Willingness to travel 20%
