The hourly rate for this position is $20.77 - $25.96 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Mission Systems Davenport is seeking a Quality Engineering – Summer Intern to work for a dynamic team in a fast-paced, aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. Eaton’s structured internship program offers real world experience and mentoring through a variety of activities and assignments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measurement Systems Analysis (MSAs) - Develop the process for an MSA, locate the critical tools that need to have MSAs conducted and conduct the MSA.
- Delegated Operator process implementation - Review the current AS9162 requirements, develop the plan to train supervisors and operators on how to self-inspect and delegate inspection to those teams.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an engineering discipline at an accredited education institutional institution (college or university).
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please do not round).
- Geographically Flexible to relocate within United States.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
- This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AutoCAD system experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers preferred
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
Skills:
- Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
- Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
- Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions.
- Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results.
