In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation's security and intelligence mission.
The Senior Systems Administrator will deploy new servers and provide support for maintaining and enhancing infrastructure as well as the day-to-day maintenance support for troubleshooting. This role requires an individual with technical expertise administering the full lifecycle of Linux and Windows platforms. The candidate will provide Windows engineering support to develop automations for the building and patching Linux and Windows servers Ansible Automation Platform in support of new systems being deployed. As well as apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers. This role is responsible for interacting with product owners across multiple teams and working other engineers to troubleshooting problems for multiple systems and network environments. This role analyzes recurring problems and initiates solutions for preventing reoccurrence and analyzes existing infrastructure for tuning/performance enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning, as well as trouble shooting IT Systems.
- Configure and manage operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Leverage Ansible modules to monitor system health, identify issues, and implement automated remediation strategies.
- Manage switch configuration and apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers and network device while supporting the 13 playbook.

- Proficient in Linux and Ansible skills
- Experience with switch configuration skills and experience applying STE/STN compliance requirements to servers.
Requirements:
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provie in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot,
- maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Clearance Required:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- Ten (10) years of experience providing System Administration support.
- Required Certifications: IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.

The base salary range for this position is $147,000 to $167,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
