Managing Director (MP Eng-Perm) - Military Veterans

The Director of Engineering Permanent Placement is a strategic leader responsible for building and scaling a high-performing permanent placement team, driving initiatives to grow engineering revenue, and establishing the team as subject matter experts in the market. This role combines sales leadership, delivery optimization, and strategic collaboration to achieve and exceed Engineering growth targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue, developing sales discipline, leading teams, and innovating placement models to adapt to evolving market demands.
Making an Impact:
• Secure and strengthen the relationships between the organization, our clients and our candidates and drive profitable growth across Manpower Engineering
• Drive Manpower's long-term strategic goals by identifying and enhancing new and innovative perm solutions
• Develop and instill a disciplined sales approach within the team to ensure consistent client engagement and revenue generation
• Set clear expectations around sales behaviors, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy
• Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate best practices into team strategies
• Oversee delivery processes to ensure high-quality talent solutions that meet client needs
• Collaborate with other departments to create integrated solutions that drive client success
• Provide the focus and strategies needed to increase our capabilities in perm recruiting in the digital space to further strengthen our talent/employer brand
• Introduce innovative practices and tools to adapt to changing market conditions
• Manage centralized Engineering Search Consultant team
People Leadership:
• Recruit, develop, and lead a dynamic team of Engineering permanent placement consultants
• Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning
• Provide coaching and mentorship to elevate team expertise and client engagement
• Typical span of control is 10-15 direct employees
• Leverage industry and organizational knowledge to develop tools and tactics to enable and support high performance of team
Your Typical Day and Other Key Details:
• Create and develop permanent placement strategic plans
• Conduct financial forecasting/modeling based on past and projected activity metrics
• Performance management and development of the team
- Travel across US: up to 30 to 50%
Qualifications
Required
• Education: Bachelor's or equivalent experience
• Perm Recruiting: 5 year on perm placement and /or full cycle recruiting with additional industry experience in recruitment, sales, or account management
• Industry Knowledge: 7 to 10 years' experience in a similar role or building a permanent placement division, knowledge of verticals and the staffing industry
