MKD Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager. As part of this role…
The Assistant Project Manager will coordinate with the Controls Field Service team and other third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. They will work with a Senior Project Manager to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. They will assist with the development of project scopes and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. They are responsible for delivering high quality service and customer satisfaction, as well as collaborating well with the team and providing support as per business needs.
What you will do…
- Liaise with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables.
- Assisting in the planning, coordination and management of projects.
- Analyze project and financial data as required.
- Conduct administrative duties such as setting up meetings, drafting change orders for out-of-scope work as required, RFIs and quotes.
- Assist with overseeing the procurement and inventory management of supplies and materials required for project completion.
- Providing all necessary project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams
- Diligently track project resources and progress, documenting any events impacting the schedule, scope, and overall efficiency; identify and pursue opportunities for project-specific change orders.
- Maintain project metrics including schedule, completion and KPIs.
- Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
What you will need to succeed…
- Associate’s degree or an Engineering Degree in a relevant engineering field or Construction/Project Management preferred and/or 1 to 3 years of experience with Project Management in engineering, BMS/BAS, HVAC, construction or critical facilities operations.
- The ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel etc.)
- Excellent communication, presentation, training, and technical writing skills.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving, process development, team-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoys hands-on work.
- Ability to manage client relationships and deliver projects successfully and profitably.
