Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular engagement with assigned government Science and Technology organizations and stakeholders at appropriate levels. Investigate, recommend, and facilitate the formation and maintenance of strong relationships with strategic customers.
- Serve as a primary interface with government sponsors. Ensure the company has awareness of all relevant emerging funding opportunities. Work with all stakeholders to secure definitive customer decisions for proposals and enhance competitive position.
- Anticipate customer interests and create groundswell to pursue new capabilities.
- Coordinate internal resources as necessary to effectively help shape customer requirements and objectives for future funded R&D opportunities.
- Work with others in Applied and Advanced Technologys business development team to identify and implement customer contact plans, prioritize funding opportunities, and ensure that opportunities are collaboratively formulated with customers and stakeholders and managed through all steps of the business development process from initial concept through proposal submission to program win.
- Contribute to developing key external partnerships critical to success for individual opportunities and for anticipating future interests.
- Understand new technology trends, uncover non-obvious opportunities for Honeywell to provide value through new technologies, and help provide technology differentiation for Honeywell products.
The annual base salary range for this position is $ 181,000 - $ 225,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE
- +15 years of professional engineering/science-related experience.
- Due to Government contracts/projects, and security clearance requirements candidates must be a US citizens.
- Availability to travel domestically up to 75%
WE VALUE
- Degree in an engineering or science-related discipline
- PhD in an engineering or science-related discipline.
- 10 years of experience with proven capability to grow and capture advanced technology R&D funding opportunities from Government Science and Technology agencies, or experience of developing externally executed programs within a Government S&T agency.
- Demonstrated competency in advanced engineering and/or research and leading advanced engineering/research technology development teams and programs.
- Former Engineering Leader or Project Manager in a Government Science and Technology agency (e.g. DOE, FAA, US Army DEVCOM)
- Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders, drive technical improvements, and influence change in the engineering environment.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated product/systems vision and experience driving a focused team with the ability to inspire innovation.
- Effective written, verbal and listening skills at all levels of the organization.
- Strong and active professional network of relationships at government Science & Technology agencies, universities, national labs, and private sector research organizations.
- Ability to articulate strategies in clear, concise and decisive manner. Persuasive communication skills.
