Energy Market Data Analyst Intern - Military Veterans

Help us fuel the products that power decision-making across the energy industry. Your role will span the breadth of data processing and analysis, exposing you to every aspect of energy-related data. You'll be working with a team whose goal is to teach, guide, and support your growth in this role. You will be an integral part of an Agile team. Your Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple products in the Enterprise Software group, providing data and insights to a broad spectrum of clients.
  • Drive process and product improvements through data analysis and client input.
  • Identify data sources and document requirements to enhance Velocity Suite and other EMI products.
  • Improve data collection, quality control, and process monitoring through proofs, test cases, dashboards, and other innovations.
  • Test data, processes, and software to ensure high-quality, efficient efficiency and quality.
  • Communicate and collaborate on a scrum team and across teams to drive quality in all processes.

Your Background:
  • You are a motivated and passionate person who thrives on a dynamic team, building and maintaining business-critical data sets from a variety of sources.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Your logical and insightful problem-solving skills and clever collaboration will help drive technical innovation, strengthen relationships, and deliver absolute excellence.
  • You are client focused to help ensure the growth, popularity, and longevity of the products you support.
  • Your relentless curiosity and drive for self-improvement will ensure your continual growth and satisfaction in this position while leading to other opportunities within Hitachi Energy.
  • You communicate openly and clearly in a mutually supportive environment.
  • As an added bonus, you may be experienced in: SQL, scripting languages (e.g. Python), data collection (web scraping) and/or data publishing (web development), the energy markets of North America or other continents, and maybe even some Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • More importantly, you are a team player with emotionally intelligent communication, presentation and collaboration skills who approaches complex problems with insight and logic.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US.
  • Must be currently authorized to work for Hitachi Energy in the US.
