Who we’re looking for

As Master Data Operations Manager and Product Owner, your role is responsible for timely and accurate processing of supplier maintenance change requests flowing through the SAP system as well as coordinating enhancements or incidents related to the MDG/SAP system. This includes change requests originating from interfaces, various business users, and the ticketing inbox. In addition, you are responsible for managing the application Jira Board and leading scrum meetings with the technical team and participating in meetings with leadership.

The primary objective for this role is to achieve all operational targets, while ensuring adherence to policies and internal controls as it relates to updates to supplier master. Additionally, you are expected to provide project support for initiatives that require supplier data changes and validations, system enhancements required for compliance or downstream/upstream system updates. 

The role is for a candidate with a passion for achieving operational excellence within a systems-focused framework, ability to understand relevant SAP functional features as well as data flows, solid understanding of controls and audit requirements, and strong people management skills.

What you’ll be doing

•    Lead business partners by monitoring daily change requests, ensuring timely and effective issue root/cause analysis for incident management and reporting and prioritizing projects related activity.
•    Review all changes to supplier data for completeness and accuracy to ensure proper approval, segregation of duties, and maintenance of documentation. 
•    Analyze business systems and develop methods for enhancing services, provide implementation leadership and training for new processes and system enhancements, and advise upper-level management on risk mitigation strategies.
•    Develop, update, and maintain proper desktop procedures, policies, and control narratives.
•    Monitor operational performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
•    Deliver clear and pro-active communication and engage with business divisions and key partners such as Dealer Support teams, Ariba/Procurement teams, Billings & Payments team, and various departments across the company.
•    Ensure the performance of all tasks in line with company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Collaborate effectively with SOX and Internal/External Audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of audit procedures.
•    Provide project support for various internal and external initiatives impacting supplier maintenance including documenting business requirements, ensuring thorough user testing for system changes, assessing risks from changes, and incorporating them into new or updated operational processes and risk-mitigating controls.

Qualifications/ What you bring
•    B.A./B.S. degree required. A degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
•    Functional process experience within Accounting/ Vendor Master Operations.
•    Excellent ability to go into details to ensure accuracy and completeness for all changes including full documentation and reporting. 
•    Proven competency to effectively interact at all levels across the organization, working to build and maintain successful relationships across all departments.
•    Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.

Added bonus if you have
•    Experience leading and managing professional teams.
•    SME system knowledge in ERPs (example: SAP) and experience using third-party service provider.
•    Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Possess excellent prioritization and management skills as well as ability to identify and assess risk factors, plan for contingencies, and manage risk.
•    Excellent business judgment and decision-making ability.
