Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain process and documentation for CRM requirements (i.e. Alarm Management, Fatigue Mitigation, Incident Investigation, Workload Study, Console split/combine justification, Pipeline performance...etc.)
• Maintain SharePoint site for Alarm Management projects to house various aspects (i.e. Safety Related alarm reporting, HI-HI reports, Alarm Search, Master Alarm Database, navigation to CRM documents, PHMSA audit and various others)
• Maintain Master Alarm Database and perform audit functions to ensure compliance with CRM recommended practices.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and annual reports demonstrating and documenting on-going compliance with CRM Alarm Management regulations.
• Assist with the development and implementation of effective fatigue countermeasures associated with alarms and display layout and design.
• Maintain alarms within the guidelines of API 1167 and other industry standards.
• Bad Actor reviews and documentation.
• Assist with training operators of the appropriate response to alarms.
• Performs internal audits on the alarm system and be prepared for Regulatory Agency performed audits to the Alarm Management program.
• Assures proper use of the Alarm Description Standard, by reviewing configuration sheets.
• General audit prep both integrated and program audits.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree in a technical or related discipline or equivalent experience with Control Center operations. 6+ years' experience in crude oil and/or product pipeline control center alarm management and alarm analysis.
- Must have strong leadership ability, strong PC Skills and strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, engineers, and SCADA System employees.
Preferred Experience:
General knowledge of the company's pipeline systems that are managed out of both Control Centers; must have an understanding of the general engineering principals that are utilized in oil movements, understands the key components to investigating imbalances, understands the generation of interfaces, the causes and preventions of contamination's, the part that pressure and pipeline hydraulics plays in the movements of petroleum products in a pipeline, how to mitigate and deal with mechanical and equipment breakdowns, and must have broad familiarity with the characteristics of product and crude quality specifications that are set by company policy. Incumbent must also have a working knowledge of pipeline SCADA.
