Job Title: Supervisor - Integration & Planning

Location: Orange, CT

Work type: Office.

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $101,404 to $126,755.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for integration of all Transmission, Substation, and Distribution Capital, New Customer, Maintenance and Reliability Projects under the responsibility of Electric Operations. It has oversight of the overall accuracy and integrity of the master plan and schedule, as well as adherence to scheduling standards.

Additionally, it is responsible for the overall analysis of work and resource assessment across all the Service Centers within the assigned Zone. Guidance is provided with regards to forecasted labor strategy to drive project completion. Guidance includes identification of over allocation of resource type by zone and areas. Identify opportunities for resource sharing and leveraging of existing labor agreements, and identification of external resources where required.

In addition, this position develops, maintains and issues standard reports (scorecards) that promote integrated decisions around project completion and increased resource utilization across all work types. The position will also take a lead role in the organization to drive scheduling of internal and external resources for construction activities.

Responsibilities

1. Develops, coordinates, and maintains an integrated construction schedule for Substation, Transmission and Distribution projects in Electric Field Operations, including reports (scorecards) to measure organizational performance (10%).

2. Oversees the work scheduling process, including preparation and prioritization of work plan a. and schedule, resource and materials requirements, workload forecasts, and coordination with other processes for optimal resource

Utilization (25%).

3. Establishes and manages the templates for use in creating schedules and forecasts of future resource requirements. This includes tracking actual hours charged and durations for continuous improvement of work plan estimates (15%).

4. Leads the standardization and integration of all schedules used in the Integrated Planning & Scheduling function. Ensures the integrity and accuracy of data through weekly project update meetings (10%).

5. Identifies, develops, and implements work process and best practices for Integrated Planning & Scheduling (10%).

6. Provides direct supervision and coaching to the Area Scheduling group for Substation, Transmission and Distribution. Fosters an environment of teamwork, creativity and problem solving. Manages performance by reviewing and evaluating work of employees. Builds consensus and communicates performance measures and expected performance levels. Assesses and improves team and employee performance through coaching and on-the-job Training (25%).

7. Provides storm restoration support as needed (5%).

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Associate's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and 10 years relevant experience required.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Expert-level proficiency project and schedule management.
  • Knowledge of Capital and O&M Budgeting, Construction Principles and Practices, Operations, Maintenance, Safety Standards and Business Processes.
  • General understanding of labor work practices.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications.
