As a HVAC Building Automation/Fire Technician - Sr Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the field of HVAC building automation and security systems. You will work closely with customers to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of their systems, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and provide training and guidance to field service technicians. Your role will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the success of our field service operations.
You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work out of our San Antonio, Austin & Dallas, TX locations on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of HVAC building automation and Fire systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical expertise and support for HVAC building automation and Fire systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both remotely and on-site
Conduct system maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
Train and guide field service technicians on system operation and maintenance
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to provide recommendations for improvement

YOU MUST HAVE
Must have 1+ yrs of HVAC experience and Fire Technician experience
TX Fire Alarm License (or must be able to obtain with in 90 days)
In-depth knowledge of Fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and solid understanding of contracting relationships
Competent in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel both locally to customer sites and overnight up to 25% as workload demands
Valid drivers license and safe driving record ability to pass background check

WE VALUE
NICET certification level 1 or higher
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in HVAC building automation and security systems
1+ years related security system and access systems.
Technical Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer Science or related field or 4 years of experience in a technical role in this industry
Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.). Understanding of typical communication topologies is important a plus Knowledge of Fire alarms, smoke control and security systems a plus
