Foreman Hourly - Military Veterans
at Installed Building Products
As a Foreman/Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that everything goes smoothly at the job site. They are the point of contact between the operations manager and installers. Your responsibilities include:
- Check jobsites and complete field quality, safety and DOT checks - KPA Reports
- Dispatch/ Schedule with Production Manager/ Scheduler - Ensure jobs are adequately staffed
- Be the liaison between installers and the builders
- Meet with Customers and Superintendents
- Field customer complaints and troubleshoot
- Communicate project progress to the manager
- Deliver material to crews when instructed
- Help crews load/unload
- Inventory count at month end
- Keep supervisor informed on any supplies/ material that we are low on, including fiberglass
- Give the production manager a job supply order by Thursday morning by 10:00 am
- Manage daily inventory control and time keeping and materials claimed on work orders with crews
- Attend Weekly Safety Meetings/ Weekly Stretch Meeting
- Report workers comp claims to office to be processed
- Warehouse Management- Ensure it is safe and orderly
- Work with Production Manager/ Warehouseman to replace broken or damaged equipment
- Ensure warehouse and tools are secured at completion of each day
- Previous experience in construction, insulation installation, or a related field preferred
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients effectively
Schedule: Monday - Friday, some Overtime required
Pay: $27-30 per hour
Position requires a drug test be completed, contingent upon employment and a background check if applicable.
Physical demands:
Includes lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, and climbing ladders. The role requires working in confined spaces, crawling, and reaching overhead. Manual dexterity is needed for using hand and power tools. As an insulation installer must also be able to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures while adhering to safety standards.
