Job Overview
As a Customer Support Specialist, the primary responsibilities include processing orders and quotations promptly, as well as addressing customer inquiries both internally and externally. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers is key.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Process customer sales orders, expedite and follow up.
- Provide customer quotes, pricing and lead times etc.
- Perform daily cycle counts.
- Receive and put away parts.
- Pull parts for service jobs.
- Release and ship orders as necessary.
- Read/interpret parts manuals and drawings.
- Process customer credits and cores as necessary.
- Unload and load freight trucks. Inspect freight for damage.
- Operate manual power hoists, dollies, lifts and forklifts.
- Open order reports and expediting. Track orders and shipments.
- Attend and participate in weekly department safety meetings.
- Review and approve freight bills.
- Review inventory to set min/max for proper order functions.
- Assist with purchasing functions.
- Customer site visits.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2 years experience
- Ability to read/interpret hard copy and electric parts manuals including Link One and VIP.
- Knowledge and use of Computer and Microsoft Applications.
- CDK knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Understanding / knowledge of entire Material Management functions.
- Ability to follow safety policies and expectations.
- Strong working knowledge of company processes and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills.

The Komatsu North America Mining Distribution and Service group is a critical part of our Komatsu global organization. We, sell, install, service, provide parts and rebuild equipment, as well as provide digital solutions for our customers.
