Requisition Number: S_250035 Department: College of Engineering-0907 Description of Work: The Engineering Education Project Manager will be expected to oversee and facilitate a complex set of project activities as outlined in multiple, separate engineering education grants including: facilitation of an NSF -funded Broadening Participation in Engineering ( BPE ) program led by the College of Engineering which will foster a culture of inclusive excellence, reinforce engineering identity, and facilitate the development of complete engineers who can significantly impact our rapidly changing world through the values of inclusivity and excellence; responsibility for day-to-day operations of College of Engineering inclusive excellence grant programs and projects; determining prioritization and implementation of tasks among all funded grants; planning and deployment of activities and events; developing and managing recordkeeping protocols; monitoring and adhering to grant budgets; serving as a primary contact for funded programs; and being an active participant in all program/activity assessment and reporting. These activities will accomplish the following: broaden recruitment and strengthen community ties and collaborate with high school educators to inspire Nebraska youth to study engineering; enhance engineering student retention by scrutinizing policies and developing specialized student peer-mentoring programs to support students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups; and better leverage the COE's Complete Engineer , a program unique to engineering education which provides opportunities for the Nebraska Engineering Community to focus on six essential non-technical core competencies: Inclusive Excellence, Communication, Teamwork, Self-Management & Leadership, Civic Responsibility; and Professionalism & Ethics. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, research administration, higher education administration or closely related field and five years administrative, research or higher education experience in a varied, complex work environment; equivalent education/experience considered. Proficiency with workplace computer applications/suites such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, cloud-based document management and collaboration, and videoconferencing. Ability to interact in a professional manner with stakeholders. Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. Ability to smoothly navigate deadlines. Excellent creative problem solving, decision-making, planning, organization, and written and verbal communication skills. Must be flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient and attentive to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, research administration, higher education administration or closely related field. Experience working in a university or engineering education setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, SAP , OneDrive and SharePoint. Posted Salary: $55,000/yr. minimum Job Type: Full-Time
