STS Aviation Services is seeking a Aircraft Check Management Support Engineer to join our Base Maintenance team at our Birmingham Hangar. This is an exciting opportunity to gain in-depth experience in aircraft maintenance management while playing a key role in delivering exceptional performance and timely aircraft delivery to customers.
As a CMSE, you’ll work closely with the Check Management Team, including the Check Manager and Materials Coordinator, to ensure seamless operations and on-time project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and preparation tasks on customer aircraft to the highest standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and modifications under the direction of zonal supervision.
- Collaborate with Check Managers and B1 or B2 Certifying Engineers to identify potential problems and propose solutions.
- Provide timely updates to B1 or B2 Certifying Engineers regarding any issues impacting work plans.
- Report unsafe conditions to supervisors and via the internal reporting system (Centrik).
- Carry out maintenance activities in strict adherence to approved maintenance data.
- Ensure the technical integrity of all work conducted under your supervision.
- Engage in career development initiatives through the Mechanics Passport Scheme.
- Maintain the highest standards of tool control and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety policies at all times.
- Exhibit strong timekeeping, discipline, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanic in aviation or a related mechanical engineering field.
- Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in aviation or mechanical engineering.
Preferred Skills
- Part 66 A Licence preferred (training and development will be provided for career growth).
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to work flexibly in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
