Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Dahlgren, VA, Pittsfield, MA, or Sevierville, TN.

Along the way, advise the Government by supporting development of new concepts and technologies and new Fleet capabilities. Help support to the Navy's new system.
Senior Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Providing Systems Engineering and programmatic support for the evaluation of new concepts and designs for SLBM groups at NSWCDD supporting Strategic Systems Programs.
- Performing a range of analysis or review tasks related to new designs and implementations of the Fire Control System for SLBM.
- Coordinating and work closely with other engineering and management disciplines to support design reviews.
- Supporting System Engineering related meetings and track project status and meeting facilitation.
- Developing, maintaining and producing technical documentation and design artifacts.
- Direct interfacing and liaising with customers at all levels, providing project management support.
- Verifying and complying with engineering documentation standards related to SPALT Developments.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the PWS, including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher.
- In addition, six years of engineering experience with a DoD major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program. Experience in concept definition, DoDAF compliant architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities. Systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management of software systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of complex systems involving DOD weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems. Two years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons, combat, and/or fire control systems to include current Navy programs such as SLBM and Aegis.
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) or other SLBM organizations
- Experience working with managing software developments for major weapons system.
