Responsibilities
We are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator who will provide support in daily safety operations by assisting in the implementation of safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe workplace. This role requires a person to adequately perform a wide variety of related and non-related job duties and responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
With close supervision of the Director of Safety and Risk Management, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for the following duties. The duties include but are not limited to:
(E) Safety Inspections and Compliance:
- Conduct and monitor monthly task reviews and safety inspections to include facilities, equipment, trucks, and work practices.
- Review, analyze, and document driving videos.
- Oversee the management of the truck inspection portal.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local laws, and company policies.
- Assist in implementing emergency response plans and conducting drills.
- Ensure safety signage, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and first aid kids are properly maintained.
(E) Training and Employee Support:
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs and newsletter content.
- Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and activities, promoting safety awareness and a positive safety culture across all departments.
- Monitor and distribute personal protective equipment.
(E) Documentation and Incident Management:
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including training records and inspection logs.
- Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend preventative measures.
(M) Other Duties:
- Provide general support to complete special projects as requested.

Qualifications
What’s Required
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) as well as be able to operate a computer, electronic calculators, fax machines, copiers and any other equipment used. The Safety Coordinator must possess:
- Excellent customer service skills and able to use good judgment in decision making.
- Excellent interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution and active listening skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak clearly and efficiently in English, draft accurate and professional written communications, and check for spelling and grammatical errors.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Coachability, confident humility, and the eagerness to grow in one’s area of expertise.
- Ability to build effective relationships, trust, and credibility at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle multiple inputs, projects, and demands concurrently with quality and timely delivery.
- An openness to pivot as business priorities evolve, committing to a plan while remaining flexible and open to change as needed.
- An enthusiasm for creating impact through Safety and Risk Management, translating to a strong bias for action and proactivity.

What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must obtain Incident Investigation Specialist certifications within the first year of hire.
- Must complete OSHA 10-hour certification
