POSITION SUMMARY
The Career Advising Coordinator reports to the Director of Career Advising &
Development; supports employer relations efforts, campus recruitment activities, and the staff of the Office of Career Advising and Development. This position will perform diverse administrative functions that require contact with employers, students, faculty, and staff.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
Manages the logistics and promotion of all employer and student events including campus wide career fairs, on-campus interviews, informational sessions, etc. and manages related budgets
Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing employers that will facilitate maximum recruitment of Le Moyne College students and graduates
Advise employers on appropriate recruiting methods to increase campus visibility and identifies resources based on organizational needs and students career interests. Connect employers with appropriate staff and faculty as necessary.
Serves as a subject matter expert on the employer-facing side of the Handshake system; provides related Handshake support and/or training to employers and staff
Supervises a group of student workers and manages their projects
Utilize Handshake to approve jobs, promote events, and schedule appointments for students; runs various monthly reports on job postings, appointments, etc. and shares trends with staff
Manages Kaplan test prep program including working with students and Kaplan representatives to ensure a seamless process; creates student rosters, collects payments, and pays invoices
Schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements and coordinates special events when requested.
Assists with the collection of graduation outcomes and subsequent reporting
Maintain current mailings, events and project calendars.
Creates and maintains computer and manual filing systems
Assists in the execution of special events and projects as assigned. Maintains budget sheets in an organized manner, handles purchasing process, documents and evaluates office procedures, carries out copying and printing assignments, and charges bills for payment to proper accounts.
Prepares monthly financial and expense statements as assigned.
Assist with the maintenance of the Career Advisingwebpages - updates, postings, etc.
Serves as the primary point of contact for the careers@lemoyne.edu email address. Has working knowledge of web pages, online community functionality and distribution of electronic communications, event announcements and newsletters.
Provide front desk reception for the office including greeting visitors and managing the phone

Performs a variety of related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree or equivalent experience required, Bachelors degree preferred
2+ years of experience in event planning, office administration or related area (can include internships and student leadership experience).
Excellent customer service skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated time management and high-level organizational skills
Familiarity with using a CRM system or similar software
