Overview

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc is seeking a Production Manager to join our dynamic team of industry-leading experts. This key leadership position is responsible for production performance for the Humacao, Puerto Rico Plant.

In this position, you will be a key part of the manufacturing team, responsible of leading various manufacturing areas, as well as achieving the plant goals and objectives.

The Production Manager is ultimately responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling and optimizing all the resources and steps in the production process to make sure products are delivered on time, at the right quality level, and within the budget.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day production operations, execution to schedule, quality, cost. Continuous improvement activities, people’s development and safety.
  • Drive 10% productivity/year improvement
  • Ensure 98% of execution to the production schedule
  • Ensure all quality goals are met
  • Ensure all past-due orders have been identified and proactively communicated to our customers.
  • Foster key relationships across the business and organization
  • Lead and develop team members. Ensure cross training is developed and executed.
  • Interface closely with the plant leadership team, and Corporate Operations & Customer Service to drive activities to tackle issues and opportunities.
  • Utilize Lean supply chain initiatives and Kaizen/5S programs to drive daily functions.
  • Complete Adherence to Lutron Production Systems
  • Manage training department
  • Stay aligned to Lutron’s culture and values


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience of proven production management, engineering or material management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a people’s management position
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Electronics manufacturing and SMT experience preferred.
  • Proven plant management, operations management or material management experience in a high complexity environment preferred
