Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst - AI Generalist to join our growing team. This role combines business analysis with artificial intelligence (AI) expertise to help identify business needs, define AI-driven solutions, and drive innovation through data and automation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of AI technologies, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective AI solutions that deliver measurable results.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Business Requirements Analysis:
  
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities where AI solutions can add value.
    
  • Analyze and document business requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications for AI solutions.
    
  • Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed AI initiatives.
    
• AI Solution Design & Development:
  
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and AI specialists to design and develop AI models and algorithms tailored to business objectives.
    
  • Ensure AI solutions align with business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
    
  • Support in the creation of data pipelines and ensure data quality and consistency for AI modeling.
    
• Data Analysis & Interpretation:
  
  • Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform AI-driven decision-making.
    
  • Develop dashboards and reports to visualize data findings and the impact of AI models on business operations.
    
  • Ensure proper data governance practices are followed and assist in data preparation for AI initiatives.
    
• Stakeholder Communication:
  
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring effective communication of requirements, progress, and results.
    
  • Present AI project findings, recommendations, and reports to senior management and key stakeholders in a clear, business-friendly language.
    
  • Provide training and support to business teams on how to utilize AI-driven insights and tools.
    
• Project Management & Implementation:
  
  • Develop hypotheses on product changes, design controlled experiments, analyze the results, and make recommendations based on impact to key metrics.
    
  • Manage AI-related projects from initiation through execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
    
  • Track and report on project milestones, KPIs, and performance metrics related to AI solutions.
    
  • Assist in the testing and validation of AI models and systems, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
    
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
  
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and business analysis methodologies to continually improve processes and deliver innovative solutions.
    
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing AI-driven systems and optimizing business processes.
    

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  
• Experience:
  
  • 1+ years of experience as a Business Analyst if you have a Master's degree; 3+ years of comparable experience otherwise.
    
  • Hands-on experience working on AI projects, including familiarity with AI methodologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Crew.ai, NLP, computer vision).
    
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    
  • Experience building and deploying AI tools with a record of meaningful usage
    
• Skills:
  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and business requirements.
    
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles, algorithms, and their business applications.
    
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, SQL).
    
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    
  • Experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
    
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align AI initiatives with business goals.
    

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI services.
  
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or predictive analytics.
  
• 1+ years of personal or professional experience working with large language models (LLMs), rapid prototyping, model training, APIs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector stores, and scalable AI deployment to production environments.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
