You will be an F-16 Flight Manual Technical Writer - Level 2.

What You Will Be Doing

In this position, you will be a technical writer responsible authoring and sustainment of F-16 Weapons Loading Technical Orders typically including, but not limited to:

- Incorporating changes to Weapons Loading Technical Orders resulting from engineering changes, new business development, customer generated change requests, and SEEK EAGLE certifications
- Normal and Emergency Procedures
- Aircraft loading limitations
- General technical data for individual weapons as determined by customer requirements
- Weapons loading validation/verification support for new production aircraft and other programs as required (some travel required)

You will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule within the Fort Worth, TX area.

Further Information About This Opportunity

This position is in Fort Worth, TX  Discover Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience with the use and interpretation technical manuals, technical orders, engineering blueprints, and/or wiring diagrams (i.e. weapons loading)

• Demonstrated experience with avionics systems (i.e. F-16, fighter aircraft, weapons loading and employment)

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)
Desired Skills:
USAF 2W1X1 weapons loading experience (F-16 preferred)

Experience in use of aircraft weapons and/or flight series manuals to include munitions build-up, fuzing, functional/operational checks and AME.

Experience interacting with leadership, customers, and peers in a "team" environment

Interpretation and communication of complex engineering drawings/AEIs, loading standard data packages, and 11A-1-63 munitions assembly procedures.

Standard Group Markup Language (SGML), XML, and experience using Isodraw, Arbor Text Tool Suite, and/or QuickSilver

Authoring in S1000D specification database
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
