WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The full-time Yard Associate will act as a material handler and forklift operator to build loads for deliveries while maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse. Duties include:
- Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
- Forklift training, certification, and operation
- Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
- Maintaining lumber yard and warehouse
- Other duties as assigned
LOCATION: San Antonio East - 18100 F M Hwy 2252 San Antonio, Texas 78266
Pay: starts at $14 hr/+DOE. Overtime paid at a rate of time and a half.

401(k) Savings Plan:
§ Full Time Associates are eligible for participation immediately.
§ Deposit 3% to 18% of your eligible income

Build Your Future - Manager Trainees
Most 84 associates start their careers as Manager Trainees, and quickly work their way "up the ladder". 84 Lumber's front-loaded, on-the-job training program provides a solid foundation of building industry knowledge and business management practices. As a Manager Trainee you will do many things within the store, including:
§ Selling and loading building materials
§ Managing your "Area of Responsibility" within the store
§ Creating material estimates
§ Creating & Maintaining your personal "Trade Relations" Program
§ Loading/unloading trucks
§ Maintaining and merchandising inventory
§ Working towards becoming a future Store Manager!
Usually within the first year, successful Manager Trainees are promoted to Co-Manager of a store, a Contractor Sales Representative, or a position at our Corporate Headquarters. Simply stated, you create your own future at 84 Lumber!
