Familiarity with the theory and operation of refrigeration systems, power boilers, steam and gas turbines, pumps, electric generators, and associated auxiliary equipment is essential. Must be capable of maintaining composure and making sound decisions in emergency situations. Basic computer literacy is required to operate power plant equipment using a computer-based monitoring and control system. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience in maritime propulsion or a similar steam-generating facility.
