job summary:


Plastics Production Engineering Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Process Engineer to lead Plastics pre-production activities: with opportunities to guide technicians, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes.

1 year Contract!

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, OR a 2-year technical degree with relevant shop floor experience.

  • Experience with Plastics process manufacturing, including large tonnage low-pressure injection molds.

  • Proficiency in CATIA modules, specifically Generative Shape Design (GSD) and Part Design.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%, including international travel) and work overtime, weekends, holidays, and off-shift hours.


Travel:



  • Up to 50%, with potential international travel to Japan, Canada, and Mexico.

  • Initial travel required within 6 months of hire (2 weeks travel, 1 week rest cycle).


Overtime:





  • Up to 20%, including weekends and holidays.

responsibilities:




  • Develop specifications for plastic injection processes, focusing on quality improvement, cost reduction, and lead time optimization.

  • Manage New Model Plastics Parts pre-production activities, providing technical leadership for engineers, Seibi technicians, and teams.

  • Lead process development projects at facilities across North America, ensuring successful new product launches.

  • Mentor Technicians and drive process improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor equipment post-SOP/installation to ensure sustainability of production KPIs and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with teams across sections, departments, and NAMCs to ensure sustainable production throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

  • Implement kaizen, innovation
