Who We Are
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration and Systems Test Engineer to test and integrate the installation of critical US Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) systems at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. This position is part of a team that provides on-site Modeling and Simulation (M&S) support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC. This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS SCI security clearance.
This role will focus on the integration, verification, and validation of complex software and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, integration methodologies, test methodologies, and have experience with relevant tools and technologies. The selected candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be capable of designing and developing and documenting high-quality, reliable, and secure systems for mission-critical applications.
What You Will Do
The Mid-Level Integrations and Test Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, integration and testing of the complex systems of the JSE in the JITTC-N. coordinate with and ensure customer/stakeholder satisfaction, manage expectations for team deliverables and report all potential risks. The work will be performed in accordance with established DoD standards and processes. This position will perform supervisory responsibilities, as required, by company leadership. This includes:
- System Integration: Develop and execute integration plans and procedures for combining software and hardware components into the JSE.
- Test Planning and Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test procedures, and test cases to verify and validate JSE functionality, performance, and security.
- Test Environment: Configure and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Test Automation: Develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and thoroughness.
- Requirements Verification: Trace system test results to ensure complete coverage and compliance of requirements.
- Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking systems. Communicate test results and defect reports to.
- System Analysis: Analyze system performance, identify, document, and communicate improvement areas to development teams and stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex integration and test issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain test plans, test procedures, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software, hardware, network, and cyber security engineers, and other stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to DoD security regulations and guidelines during all activities.
What You Must Have
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in systems integration and testing.
- Systems Engineering Principles: Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Integration Methodologies: Experience with various integration approaches (e.g., top-down, bottom-up, incremental).
- Test Methodologies: Knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing).
- Test Tools: Experience with test management tools, test automation frameworks, and performance testing tools.
- Operating Systems: Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Hardware/Software Integration: Experience integrating Information Technology hardware and software components.
- Networking Concepts: Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively alone or in a team environment.
- Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

- DoD Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working on DoD contracts or with DoD systems is highly desirable.
- Technical Experience:
- Experience with specific test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit).
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools.
- Technical experience working with DoD full multi-system mission level flight simulators and synthetic environments (air space simulation, swarm simulations, etc.)
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama)
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST 800-53).
- Experience with specific test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit).
- Leadership and Management Experience: Proven leadership experience and ability to execute agile/dynamic processes.
- Security Clearance: Active or current DoD TS/SCI Clearance
Physical Requirements
Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
