BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creative ideation, and creating designs for the Kubota Brand Studio, which entails marketing assets as well as environmental graphics and internal communications. The Senior Graphic Designer will collaborate with our creative team to deliver creative that inspires. The goal of the Senior Graphic Designer is to meet requestor's needs while providing an innovative and unique solution to their design problem/task that tells an authentic and inspired story.
The Senior Graphic Designer will become familiar with all companies within Kubota North America so as to be able to make changes and additions upon internal requests. The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for having knowledge of industry best practices for print and web design and production.
The Senior Graphic Designer must be an excellent time manager, handling multiple deadline-driven projects, and communicate effectively with their supervisor on project status.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines:
- Oversee the artistic aspects of projects, ensuring the visual elements align with the overall brand identity and project goals.
- Brainstorm and develop original design concepts and visual strategies for various projects.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs and provide design solutions that meet their requirements, Kubota standards and expectations.
- Work closely with other Kubota designated corporate, field and entity team members to produce cohesive and compelling visuals.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain brand governance to maintain the integrity and reputation of the brand. Ensure top quality on the Kubota's brand visual and verbal elements should be used, including logos, colors, typography, imagery, tone of voice, and messaging.
- Review and approve final design outputs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy and consistency across all Kubota entities.
- Gather feedback from key business stakeholders and internal teams to continuously improve and refine the brand strategy.
- Guide and mentor junior team resources, helping them develop their skills and grow in their careers.
- Keep up with industry trends, new design techniques, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, or an equivalent field required.
- 4+ years of experience with a major global brand or within an agency setting.
- Expertise with industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Creative Cloud, InDesign, Illustrator, Figma).
- Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS.
- Proficient in environmental graphics and signage processes.
- Strong understanding of print production processes.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
