Advanced Field Service Engineer-DCS - Military Veterans

As an AdvancedField Service Engineer here at Honeywell, you will responsible for effectively providing services to support the on-site installation, upgrades, start-up, maintenance, and operation of automation control systems & advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks and the individual products which comprise these systems.

You will provide customers with maintenance and modernization services on Honeywells EPKS/TPS Platforms. The role requires you to be self-supporting and includes on-site maintenance, performing system diagnostics & analysis, troubleshooting problems, installing new systems & replacing parts.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager.

Must reside within 1 hr of St Paul Park, MN

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Provide ongoing support and updates for Honeywell control systems (EPKS and TPS) installed at the customer sites throughout the mid-west with the priority being Minnesota sites


  • Support and lead on/off process migrations (EPKS/TPS, virtual/physical) at the customer sites throughout the mid-west with the priority being Minnesota sites


  • Handle customer service-related issues while fostering the customer relationship and working to solve technical problems on site


  • Deal directly with and communicate effectively with plant operators, plant management, 3rd party vendors and other Honeywell personnel in support of service operations


  • Collaborate with Honeywell's Global Technical Assistance Center to implement solutions for the installed base where applicable


  • Perform scheduled maintenance and ad-hoc work on Honeywell hardware and software following procedures and schedules


  • Troubleshoot and analyze issues under both normal and abnormal conditions


  • When required, play an active role in various projects such as upgrades, new installations or new functionality for customers


  • Work with contractors to review and ensure the unit/package is installed to specifications.


  • Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments


  • Ensure regular updates of antivirus software across all Honeywell EPKS/TPS customer sites


  • Ensure regular Windows OS updates across all Honeywell EPKS/TPS customer sites


  • Perform standby duties and respond to callouts as required by procedure


  • Create and maintain backups for servers and workstations


  • Sustain proficiency in all products and services that the company offers. This includes staying current with installation standard methodologies, equipment protocol, and safety guidelines


  • Support plant outages for Honeywell EPKS/TPS customer sites


  • Provide on-site pre-start-up, start-up, contracted service work, warranty, troubleshooting, and training of Honeywell products, and ensure equipment is operational and free of defects


  • Accurately document the work that is performed at a customer facility and/or project staging area. Professionally document work completed on periodic preventive maintenance as well as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks


  • Complete monthly preventative system maintenance checklists on time


  • Prepare monthly reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


  • Review product prints and specifications


  • Support the sales lead program


  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


  • This position requires walking/standing for at least 8 hours per day as well as performing frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping


  • Company car will be provided to travel to company sites


  • Travel: up to 50% US (mainly Minnesota customer sites and may support the entire St. Louis, MO branch occasionally)




Must Successfully Complete 18-month Honeywell Training & Certification Program

Commitment to obtain and maintain L3-4 CEATs (EPKS, OPM, Virtualization, TPS) certification while performing normal job duties.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $128,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE





  • 3+ years of professional experience in an engineering or technical field (ie, field service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavy manufacturing, development and/or reliability engineering) or Military experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to this typical qualification


  • 3+ years of experience using Basic Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications


  • High School Diploma


  • Valid driver's license


  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


  • Knowledge of system installation, configuration, and maintenance


  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems where Honeywell technology is installed will be an added advantage


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks


  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software
