Maintenance Electrician - Military Veterans

America's leading rice manufacturer has recently hired veterans and is looking to expand their team with your skillset across their maintenance team. If you've eaten Mahatma, Minute Rice, or Success Rice, you've eaten from this company's facility. They are looking for Maintenance Electricians with an electrical skill set in their Memphis Tennessee location.

As a Maintenance Electrician you will work under the supervision of the Operations Manager, troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment. You will be expected to perform preventive maintenance and electrical work in the installation of new equipment as needed.

In this role you will need to repair any and all electrical problems as they occur on a timely basis and autonomously. You will need to demonstrate you have the experience to work on switchgear, instrumentation, running of new power sources up to 480v.

You will be expected to know how to install new electrical components, conduit, lights, control panels, starter panels and assist in ordering parts needed to complete jobs. You will also need to troubleshoot and repair problems with scales, VFDs, A/Cs, electronic equipment, and so on. Having knowledge in properly sizing motors, wiring, breakers, and controls on new and older equipment will be important skills to have. The client needs someone who is assertive and self-motivated.

Shift: 12 hours; 36 hours first week, 44 hours the next. Baked in 4 hours of time and a half, plus one three day weekend per pay period. Shift runs either 4am - 4pm or 4pm - 4am. Must be open to night shift first.

Base salary, $80K - $100K plus overtime, an $8K sign on, $4K relocation assistance, plus benefits and a 401k.
