at RecruitMilitary Placement Services

Our client is globally recognized as one of the leading suppliers of high-quality inspection, leveling, controlling and calibration equipment. They are leaning on military veteran talent for Field Service roles as their growth has increased.

A day in the life:

This is a travel role. You can expect to be traveling by air or by car Monday through Friday up to 100% (depending on the season and concentration of customers in your territory, you should be home almost every weekend).

Field Service Technicians are charged with the installation/commissioning of new equipment, repair and service and calibration across the US, but primarily focused on a regional territory. You will also be completing preventative maintenance, field modifications, software upgrades and calibrations as assigned by the Field Service Manager. Additionally, you will repair the parts cycle times, and ensure parts and test standards are prepared in-advance for on-site visits.

To be successful, candidates need to have a strong hands-on mechanical skillset/aptitude. You must be able to be professional in appearance and communication. Any familiarity with calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gates and bore gauges, electronic/electrical controls will be a plus, but not required.

Experience teaching or coaching, with the ability to train small groups on complex topics with patience and professionalism will be very welcome in this role. This is a customer-facing role and you are the company expert in the field.

Employees are sent to the Canton, MA office for two weeks of intense training, completed in their HQ facility. You'll then fly home, and then Monday through Friday fly to a client and train with another Field Service Technician prior to being released to operate individually. Training could last up to six months.

Base salary, $65K - $70K, plus performance and completion bonuses, per diem ($60), you keep all travel, hotel and credit card points, lifestyle/wellness payments, excellent benefits.

Work for a global company with competitive pay, and a team first attitude! Enjoy countless travel benefits that put money back in your pocket and make your PTO that much better, weekend travel is very rare.
