Nurse Practitioner ADT Pulmonary PARN - Military Veterans

Under the direction of the Pulmonary Associate Chief for Ambulatory Affairs, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will practice in the UCSF Lung Health Center (LHC)Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis/Nontuberculous Mycobacteria clinics, with as-needed cross-coverage for other LHC APPs. The NP will evaluate patients in clinic visits to provide ongoing health assessments, manage chronic illness and symptoms, triage acute exacerbations of chronic disease, and provide health maintenance interventions. The NP will also provide assessment and management for patients via telehealth visits, telephone, and MyChart, and complete the required care coordination to achieve high-quality care. Supervised by the LHC's medical directors and practicing physician faculty members, the NP will order diagnostic testing, including imaging (e.g., chest X-rays, CT chest scans), nocturnal oximetry, pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gases, six-minute walk testing, clinical laboratory testing, sleep studies and more. The NP will review and communicate lab results and diagnostic testing with patients and collaborating clinicians. The NP will arrange and order treatment, including medications and durable medical equipment (e.g., supplemental oxygen therapy and CPAP) based on clinical assessments and diagnostic testing. The NP will order procedures such as PICC line placement and order and coordinate home IV antibiotic therapy. The NP will also assist with urgent triage (including MyChart and telephone messages) and urgent visits and help arrange hospital admissions. NP will collaborate with physicians, RNs, research coordinators, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).
