Responsibilities

During the 12-month training period, we will provide you with a complete understanding of the following:

  • How to be a World Class Leader in a service industry
  • How to engage and align your management techniques to get the best out of your direct reports
  • How to propose and close business to both Commercial & Residential consumers
  • How to responsibly manage a P&L with an emphasis on understanding how to balance expense margins
  • How to build your own winning team!

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • The ideal candidate would be a new college graduate or have 1-3 years of working experience out of college
  • An associate or bachelor degree, preferably in Business Management, Sales, Operations Management, or Finance
  • A desire and the drive to be a leader in a constantly growing industry!
  • A valid driver’s license required with a good driving record
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)

 

What will my work environment be like?

 

Program participants will split time between classroom training in Orkin Northeast’s World Class training facility and hands on training in various branch locations in Virginia and Maryland.

 

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and be able to safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
