A Senior Electrical Engineer is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Syracuse, NY area. This role provides comprehensive electrical engineering support for the design, construction, and commissioning of industrial power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while leveraging technical expertise in software tools, system design, and project coordination.

responsibilities:
- Review design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
- Assess equipment configuration and electrical distribution routing in NavisWorks 3D models for functionality, maintenance ease, constructability, and alignment with One-Line Diagrams.
- Validate engineering calculations.
- Review and approve equipment and component submittals in coordination with O&M staff.
- Evaluate and validate construction RFI responses.
- Approve shop drawings and construction models.
- Provide field engineering QA during construction.
Skills:
- Familiarity with electrical power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, EDSA, SKM).
- Understanding of NFPA, NEC, and related Electrical Codes and Standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISA).
- Knowledge of electrical design practices, materials, costs, and construction techniques.
- strong organizational and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in teams across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- FE/EIT certification required.
- PE license preferred.
- 8+ years in Electrical Engineering, focusing on power distribution systems for industrial facilities.
- Experience in semiconductor facilities preferred.
