Outbound Sales Agent - Military Veterans

Primary Purpose:
The position is responsible for engaging current/prospective residential customers selling phone, long-distance, internet, video and other digital products through outbound dialing. The agent must be self-motivated, have a thorough understanding of products and services offered by Hawaiian Telcom, able to work in a fast pace environment, display exceptional customer service, and consistently meet sales goals.
General Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
A. Utilize outbound dialing with a focus on customer acquisition, upgrading current customers, and upsell. Initiate and obtain sales through lead lists while meeting productivity metrics.
B. Assess customer's entertainment and communication needs, offering solutions or bundles from Hawaiian Telcom. Negotiate products and services offered by Hawaiian Telcom utilizing promotional offers.
C. Effectively multi-task between account management, providing feedback to customer responses, offering solutions, discussing product options, and generating service through multiple ordering systems.
D. Maintain, track, change, and input leads through sales tracking system.
E. Develop and maintain relationships with current customers; follow up by email/phone to show customer appreciate and generate referrals and new leads.
F. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
A. Test: Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the testing program, by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.
B. Physical Demands:
• Ability to sit/stand at position/office equipment for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform duties while wearing a headset.
• Ability tolerate constant viewing of computer screen.
• Ability to identify and distinguish tones.
• Ability to communicate naturally and pleasantly over the telephone and/or in person.
• Possess proper grammatical and legible written communication skills.
• Constant typing and 10-key.
C. Mental Demands:
• Ability to deal effectively with pressure in meeting deadlines, objectives and customer demands.
• Requires alertness and attention to detail.
• Requires innovative and creative problem-solving ability.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers with emphasis on accuracy.
D. Working Conditions:
• Majority of work is indoors.
• Mostly day shifts with occasional nights, weekends and Holidays.
• Subject to occasional overtime.
• Uses standard office furniture and equipment.
E. High School diploma or GED
F. Minimum of (2) years of related work experience preferred.
Pay Range: $17.57 - $31.13
