CAD Designer - Military Veterans

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CAD Designer to assist a Navy Command with developing CAD documents detailing shipboard wiring installations, computer network systems, & specific computing devices. The role will be fully onsite in Chesapeake, VA, and require an Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities:

·      Produce various CAD drawings to illustrate computing networks through wiring installations, cables ran through ships, wiring diagrams, and components housed in shipboard computer racks

·      Perform CAD design for military shipboard drawings within DoD-STD-100, MIL-STD 31000, & various NAVSEA drawing standards

·      Wear PPE whenever visiting a docked ship to gather information needed for CAD Documents

·      Map out the layout of network wiring, connection points, network racks, cables, etc. through AutoCAD or Visio

Qualifications:

·      3+ years of experience with generating computer network diagrams/drawings using AutoCAD/Visio

·      CAD Design Experience around Shipboard Wiring Diagrams

·      Must be able to obtain a Security+ or other IAT Level II Certification within 3 months of starting

·      Must be eligible for a US government security clearance

Compensation Package:

·      Salary Range: $85,000-90,000
