Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

This role helps create breakthrough strategies and transformational leadership in clinical, operational, and analytical aspects of system infusion services.  Director is accountable for ensuring operational activities and service levels are achieved in accordance with local hospital and BJC expectations as well as regulatory accreditation, government and/or agency requirements.  Collaborates with system finance, revenue cycle and managed care on issues related to optimizing financial performance for system infusion.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.  Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Organizes and oversees prior authorization and patient assistance programs for infusion services.
  • Researches, evaluates, selects, and implements systems which improve efficiency of infusion operations and database management.
  • Collaborates with system finance, revenue cycle and managed care to optimize financial performance of ambulatory infusion sites.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Doctorate-Pharmacy
  • Master's Degree

Experience

  • 5-10 years

Supervisor Experience

  • 5-10 years

 

Licenses & Certifications

  • Registered Pharmacist
