The Part-time Human Resources and Business Services Specialist reports to the Associate Vice-President, Financial & Administrative Services and performs the following functions:
Greets visitors and responds to telephone and email inquiries.
Maintains office equipment and inventory of supplies and generates purchase requests.
Assist with random drug and alcohol screening notifications and keeps logs current.
Assist with the organization of files.
Assist with collecting and purging I-9 forms.
Receives and distributes incoming daily mail.
Provides general assistance to staff members in the division by preparing documents, spreadsheets, reports, data queries, and other tasks when needed.
Assists with the processing of paper checks.
Assists with printing College ID cards for students, faculty, and staff.
Provides data entry, filing, record retrieval, and reporting both manually and electronically.
Assists payroll with reviewing and filing timesheets and leave forms.
Prepare daily bank deposits.
Responds timely to inquiries by students, faculty, and staff.
Works collaboratively with other staff to develop cross-training opportunities and knowledge sharing.
Attends Division and College meetings and events.
Performs other duties as assigned, which support the purpose and initiatives of the College.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, Human Resorces or related field from a regionally accredited institution, or significant progress toward the degree with anticipated completion date within 1 year
Understanding of and commitment to College purpose, values, and vision
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Ability to accurately compile records and monitor information/data in an organized manner
Excellent computer skills and commitment to use of technology
Competence in using Microsoft office and other software applications
Ability to work interdependently in close team environment
Ability to manage multiple activities at once and prioritize effectively
Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college
Effectiveness in the following College organizational competencies:

Preferred Qualifications:
One year experience in related position
