Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is currently seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern, reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba location. The opportunities are 8-16 months in length, starting in May 2025.
We are looking for current post-secondary Engineering students who are interested in working side-by-side with experienced Industrial Engineering professionals. Our student Interns are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job challenges as they work on hands-on tasks, undergo training, and have the opportunity to work on special projects. Position Responsibilities:
• Assists in developing models, data bases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, engineering economics) and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers).
• Applies basic Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations.
• Assists in research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of advanced Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
• Utilizes engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and validation of products.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Must be at least a 2nd year engineering student attending a university with studies in Industrial or Management Engineering or similar technical discipline
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college
• Must have advanced ability in the use of Microsoft Office which includes Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
• Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
• Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Prefer previous internship experience
• Experience/understanding of production and business systems (SAP ECC, SAP CAMS, and/or equivalents)
• AutoCAD Experience for facility and production system layouts
• Facilitative, communication, problem-solving, organizational and team-building skills
*Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
