This position will be located in Irving, Texas and following a hybrid work model. Hybrid (Combination of work from home and in-assigned office location)
Responsibilities
About the role:
As the Business Development Analyst II - Commercial Lending Services (CLS) you will identify financing opportunities, and negotiates deal structures for commercial loans to automotive dealerships, including floorplan, real estate, term loans and revolving lines of credit. Your duties will include daily interaction with key dealership personnel to determine financing needs and gage dealership interest in commercial programs. Duties will also include cursory financial analysis for wholesale and loan acquisitions.
In this role you will :
- Analyze financial statements of automotive dealerships and related customers including assessment of dealership risk
- Interface with customers and internal/external stakeholders to obtain data to complete analysis and ensure customer expectations are managed
- Gather competitive intelligence on programs and pricing available in the market
- Prepare management summaries for senior leadership
- Review daily work flow for business development process, to ensure customer satisfaction
- Train and develop less experienced employees
- Heavily focus on customer satisfaction
Qualifications

- Detailed oriented and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously, i.e. project management skills, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong presenting and negotiating skills to make recommendations that mitigate risk and still maximize portfolio growth
- Ability to analyze financial statements of automotive dealerships and related customers including assessment of dealership risk
- Knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to make sound business decisions to meet deadlines under pressure
- Knowledge of dealership operations, automotive industry, and commercial lending with emphasis in captive automotive dealership financing
- Review daily work flow for business development process, including preparing summaries for senior leadership, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Ability to effectively communicate with sales team members, dealership personnel, and all levels of management
- Gather competitive intelligence on programs and pricing available in the market
- Conform with all company policies and procedures
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
- 3-5 years of directly related experience in automotive dealership commercial lending environment preferred

OUR BUSINESS & OUR HISTORY
GM Financial was founded as AmeriCredit in September 1992 and opened its first branch office in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 1, 2010, AmeriCredit Corp. was acquired by General Motors Company and renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial). In 2011, GM Financial acquired FinanciaLinx to serve GM dealers and customers throughout Canada. In November 2012, GM Financial announced the acquisition of Ally Financial Inc.’s international operations. The majority of those acquisitions were finalized in 2013, with the remaining market, a 35 percent equity interest in a joint venture in China, acquired in January 2015. In October 2017, GM Financial completed the sale of its European financial subsidiaries and branches as part of General Motors’ sale of the Opel and Vauxhall businesses to Peugeot S.A.
