Material Cost-Out Project Manager - Military Veterans

The Material Cost-Out Project Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing direct material productivity (DMP) projects to improve the overall profitability of the Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions business. In this role, the Material Cost-Out Project Manager work closely with the Sourcing team Global and Regional Category Leaders, Product Management, Technology, Supply Chain and Finance teams to identify cost-out opportunities related to new product development, manufacturing process, material and/or product substitutions, and freight logistics to drive year over year profitability improvement.

Specifically, the Material Cost-Out Project Manager will:

• Own overall responsibility for direct material cost-out performance in multiple water treatment and process treatment product lines within the Chemicals & Monitoring Solutions business.
• Work with Product Management, Technology, and Sourcing to align both short-term and long-term product development strategies with a cost-effective strategy for manufacturing, changing commercial product offerings with a focus on "speed to market", and sourcing key raw materials through preferred suppliers.
• Conduct regular "make vs. buy" analyses of in-house production vs. third party manufacture to identify the most cost-effective supply strategy and work closely with both Sourcing and regional stakeholders to facilitate manufacturing/material supply shifts where needed.
• Conduct regular review meetings for specific projects or regional reviews with the various functional groups across all geographic regions, and assign specific tasks as needed to facilitate project completion.
• Perform financial calculations to measure both material cost-out project performance and Low Margin Account (LMA) actions on a quarterly basis and provide documented results in the Veolia Efficiency Plan system.
• Maintain ongoing dialog with the regional Sourcing teams on key supplier issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college
• Experience in industrial water treatment and/or refinery and chemical process industries
• A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in either chemical sales/service, product management, technology, chemical supply chain, or chemical sourcing.
