Principal Endpoint Migration Engineer - Military Veterans

Leidos is seeking an experienced Principal Endpoint Migration Engineer to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies (DAFAs). The Principal Endpoint Migration Engineer will support the migration of DoD users to DISA’s new DoDNet Gen2 environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the focal point for the planning and execution of MECM activities within the DAFA’s MECM environment in support of migration activities

  • Serve as the technical expert in all meetings and correspondence with Migration Execution Services (MES) task order representatives and DAFAs for MECM-related activities

  • Perform application packaging, create task sequences, and deploy applications, packages, and task sequences in support of DAFA migrations

  • Contribute to management of Intune environment, including defining and managing groups and compliance policies in support of endpoint migrations

  • Promote and adhere to DISA and DoD security policies and best practices

  • Work with the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Team lead to ensure relevant tasking is captured in Jira and tracked to completion prior to the defined due date

  • Quickly identify and escalate issues requiring the attention of MES and UEM team leadership so they can be addressed and/or communicated in a coordinated manner

  • Provide updated status during daily standups and ensuing assigned Jira tickets reflect the correct status and progress is captured within the assigned Jira tickets

  • Capture lessons learned and areas of improvement that can be incorporated into subsequent waves of DAFA endpoint migrations

  • Document and communicate changes to the DAFA MECM environment with the DAFA stakeholders to provide a coherent record that helps isolate unforeseen issues or regressions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with at least 10 years of prior relevant experience

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Experience managing MECM environments, including packaging applications, creating packages, creating task sequences, and deploying packages to select devices and users

  • Experience supporting endpoint migrations from MECM to Intune

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and a strong problem-solving mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders, including management and technical teams

  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence

  • Current IAT Level II (or higher) Certification such as Security + or CISSP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting endpoint migrations for Department of Defense or other U.S. Government customers

  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Intune Expert

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
