The Airborne Mission Operations (AMO) within the Airborne Solutions Business Area (ASBA) of Leidos Defense Systems Sector currently has an opening for Systems Engineer to work in our Alexandria office. In this role, you manage the functionality and efficiency of training, processing, and storage systems. You will install, patch, and maintain hardware and software associated with servers, local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
Primary Responsibilities
Manage Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy
Understand network protocols, firewall management, and network troubleshooting
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for task automation
Set up service accounts, maintain system documentation, and tune system performance
Install system wide software and hardware
Validate and implement critical system patches
Allocate and maintain mass storage spaces
Identify, resolve, and document hardware/software issues
Schedule, plan, and oversee system upgrades
Support process improvement and automation
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years of prior relevant systems administration/systems engineering experience; or Master's degree and less than 2 years' experience
Familiar with server hardware, RAID configurations, and storage solutions
Able to perform work in Alexandria, VA at Leidos facilities
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent oral, written, and visual presentation communication skills
US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Active Directory
Experience with Azure, Hyper-V, VMWare, SCVMM, SCCM, and SCOM
Experience with Leidos security requirements

Pay Range:
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
