Cyber Security Engineer
Leidos’ National Security Sector is seeking candidates to support an Intelligence Community client’s move from legacy systems to Next Generation Architecture. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic and Agile team conducting both new development and O&M.
This position is contingent upon award, we expect award in November/December 2024.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- Bachelors degree and 12+ years of experience, additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated experience researching, evaluating, and developing security policies and guidance.
- Demonstrated experience recommending best practices in security architecture that promotes cost-effective and efficient systems solutions.
- Experience with security and vulnerability assessment tools such as: Nessus, Web Inspect, App Detective, Nmap, WireShark, etc.
- Demonstrated experience developing risk management methodologies and communicating vulnerability results and risk posture to senior executives.
- Knowledge of and experience with Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience identifying and applying the appropriate level of recommended remediation to security anomalies or integrity loopholes such as system weakness or vulnerabilities.
- Experience investigating virus/malware/other security incidents to determine root cause, entry point of code, and damage risk assessments.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience writing technical documents such as Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs), System Security Plans (SSPs), and Security Controls Traceability Matrices (SCTM).
Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Demonstrated experience creating cyber security test plans.
- Experience with information security protocols and software, as well as information, physical, and protective security policy development and implementation.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with securing the design, engineering, and development of systems built upon Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based capabilities.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including using JIRA or other similar project tracking software.
- Demonstrated experience providing malicious code detection, intrusion detection and cyber security tool development and integration.
- Hold at least one of the following relevant certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
