Leidos Corporate Office of Technology has an immediate opening for an AI Software Solutions Architect to join our Software Accelerator team.
In this role, you will help customers solve demanding challenges via software technology, modernization, and transformation processes with proven methods and solutions. As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will help shape solutions to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. As a Solution Architect, you will work together with business development, research and development, and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs, in proposals, or on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems. This individual will work with our Lead AI Software Architect to shape our organization's future by driving AI and software development innovation across our entire enterprise.
The role involves guiding implementation of research and development outputs, leading R&D initiatives, advising on proposals and projects, forming partnerships and vendor engagements, and collaborating closely with our AI/ML Accelerator and other groups within the Office of Technology. Primary Responsibilities
1.Lead the tactical implementations of AI and software engineering within the Software Accelerator division, ensuring alignment with the company's broader objectives.
2.Collaborate closely with the AI/ML Accelerator and other groups within the Office of Technology to drive synergies, cross-pollinate ideas, and ensure a unified approach to our technology strategy.
3.Oversee the development and execution of forward-looking IRADs (Independent Research and Development) projects in AI and software.
4.Provide technical leadership and guidance on proposal development for captures, supporting the company in securing critical business opportunities.
5.Advise on the incorporation of the latest technologies into company programs and processes, enhancing our technical capabilities and competitive advantage.
6.Manage relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring our collaborations are effective and aligned with our technical goals.
7.Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team, promoting technical excellence and thought leadership.
8.Represent the company at industry events, showcasing our capabilities and maintaining our position as a leader in AI and software development.
Basic Qualifications
1.Bachelor's degree and 8+ years experience. Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field and 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
2.1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
3.Demonstrable experience in AI and machine learning, including practical application of these technologies in a business context.
4.Strong understanding of the technology landscape, including emerging trends in AI and software development.
5.Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
6.A continuous learner, staying abreast of the latest advancements in technology and effectively applying this knowledge to the organization's strategy.
7.Willingness to travel to Reston, VA (up to 25%).
Preferred Qualifications
•Familiarity with basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, REST, JSON, SOAP
•Familiarity with Monolithic and Microservices based architectures.
•Knowledge of a version control systems (e.g., Git).
•Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
•Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Mac OSX, Windows, LINUX, etc.).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
