As an electrical technician you will maintain, repair, install, and upgrade electrical and mechanical equipment, components, tools, and machinery throughout the facility. We offer a competitive starting salary $80-100k!
As Engineering and Facilities Manager, you will lead the maintenance and engineering functions for one of Plastipak’s largest facilities in Champaign, IL. This includes project engineering, facilities, electrical, and HVAC/pump room maintenance. As a member of the site leadership team, you will play an integral role in upholding Plastipak’s standards of excellence, driving continuous improvement, and helping exceed customer expectations.
You Will:
- Lead Department Managers, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Technicians to accomplish engineering, maintenance, and facility objectives
- Ensure preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, capital projects, and other engineering work is completed in a timely manner, with minimum disruption to production
- Uphold safety, GMP, ISO, and food safety standards within the Engineering and Maintenance departments
- Monitor KPI’s for areas including reliability, quality, scrap, operating expenses and safety to meet department goals
- Track energy usage for the facility and pursue sustainability and energy conservation efforts
- Participate in Site Leadership Team meetings and contribute to site strategy
- Foster positive team engagement and a culture of continuous improvement
