Job Summary:
The Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning will lead efforts to design, implement, and evaluate continuing education programs that align with current trends, needs, and best practices in social work. Programs will support social work students, early career social workers through advanced professionals. This position requires a dynamic professional with expertise in social work education, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for advancing the field through lifelong learning opportunities.
Essential Duties:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Center, ensuring alignment with the mission and vision of the School of Social Work and UTA's 2030 strategic plan.
- Identify emerging trends and innovations in lifelong learning for social work to enhance programming.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, faculty, practitioners, alumni, licensing bodies, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with various departments within the School of Social Work, the University, and the community.
Program Development and Delivery :
- Developed comprehensive student programming focused on job readiness, professionalism, interview preparation, licensure exam strategies, and career development to equip students with the skills and confidence needed for post-graduation success.
- Design and oversee a robust portfolio of continuing education offerings, including CEU-certified workshops, webinars, conferences, and online courses.
- Ensure programs meet state licensure and accreditation requirements for social work professionals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop curricula and programming that address diverse and critical topics in the field.
- Stay informed of trends in social work practice, policy, and education to inform program development.
Operations and Administration :
- Manage the center's budget, staffing, and resources to ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence.
- Develop policies and procedures to maintain quality and compliance with accreditation standards.
- Collaborate and implement marketing and outreach efforts to promote the Center's programs and recruit lifelong learners.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement :
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-driven improvements as needed.
- Use data to inform decision-making and refine program offerings.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Education, or related field.
- At least five (5) years of experience in education, professional development, or program management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing educational programs for professionals.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to manage budgets, oversee operations, and evaluate program effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DSW or PhD in Social Work or related field.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a social worker (e.g., LMSW or LCSW).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments.
- Prior experience in marketing and outreach for program promotion and participant recruitment.
